Can I also use Beluga lentils? They look kinda similar, but the taste might be completely different

I tried your recipe today, I like the taste of date that lingers a bit. The paste is less sugary than what I usually make (I boil the beans with a piece of cane sugar), which is not necessarily a bad thing 😉

You remind me that I do have some azuki beans at the moment. I really love these in a lot of Chinese cakes. My favourite are the glutinous rice balls stuffed with this bean paste and the moon cake. Oh so yummy!

Omg sooo delicious!! We have beans only with water in a can. That's amazing because it takes such a long time to cook them 🙂

It is funny because I know that 紅 is red and 豆 is bean (it is on all the soy milk cartons) from my Japanese, but I know this stuff as 餡子。Looks super yummy!

Bean desserts you say? In Hawaii we sometimes put this bean paste at the bottom of a cone of shave ice (maybe with a little bit of ice cream too? Mmm?). This way, when you're done eating your shave ice, you have an extra little treat at the end. And usually all the shave ice and ice cream has had a chance to melt and all the flavors mix up and..and…it's so good.

I had some steam buns with beans the other day. I was on 19th ave in SF… Hella good though! It was a nice break from my miserable soup cups! Lol!
