I glad to finally come across a Vegan Korean recipes food channel.
I am from India and and a Vegan. Most of the times, I face a challenge with Korean pepper paste. Now its not available here, can you please suggest what can I replace it with?

I'm so inspired by your videos. Last week, I prepared two of your recipes: the aloo curry and the spicy peanut noodles. So easy and delicious. I also happen to notice a happy side effect: my arthritis pain has decreased. I think eating vegan is the key to combating inflammation. Your videos are also relaxing to watch. Keep them coming, Wil : )))

Any vegan substitutions for kimchi if you don't have the ingredients handy, i.e. no cabbage etc?

hi will! Ive been really enyjoying watching your videos lately. thank you. btw Im leaving a comment cuz I want to let you know what I know about soondubu stew. (Im korean) they usually use chilli oil only and a bit of chili powder and not the gochujang. cuz the gochujang makes the soup thick and starchy, usually suntofu jjigae has spicy but clear soup in korea.

Hi. I just discovered your channel. Love your presentation and easy recipes. This is the first recipe I’m trying out. It’s been 2 hours and the pot is still on the stove right now. 6 cups of water sure seems like a lot. Is the stew supposed to be so dilute?

Watching Wil's videos is like watching someone Tweet live. Simple recipes, easy to follow monosyllabic or bisyllabic instructions, and you are done with a mouth-watering dish. 🙂

Buyer beware! In a lot of Korean grocery stores, their kimchi is not vegan (fish sauce/anchovies). Make sure to get one that is if you want one. Seoul brand is. Also, part of the fun of making jigae is getting creative with all of the mushrooms blends. Get busy and look for a good mix! Thanks for sharing. I think the next rainy day, we need to make some. Especially now with COVID-19, we should know how to make our own comfort foods.

I saw this recipe and went straight to the store to get the stuff to make it. I loved it! I added in hot peppers for spice and dried shiitake just because I love them and it was super good. Love the video format as well!
